2024 Main Paper Charity
Hello everybody!
During this year MAIN PAPER is developing different initiatives of corporate social responsibility.
We have donated material to different associations and foundations to get school supplies to all the people who need them most.
MAIN PAPER, S.L. collaborates with the students of the University of Navarra in Madrid to provide school materials for their project in Viwandani (Kenya).
A group of students from this university will travel to Kenya to support the education of children in the area. As university students, they will give classes in English, mathematics, geography..., always with the aim of achieving a good impact in the medium/long term for all of them.
This action will focus on the slum of Viwandani, one of the poorest slums in the Kenyan capital. There, classes will be held every morning in several schools in the area. They will also distribute food in some houses in the slum and in the afternoons they will attend a centre for the disabled, where the main task will be to spend the afternoon with the children drawing, singing and playing games.
The volunteer project is in collaboration with Eastlands College of Technology, located in Nairobi, Kenya. Viwandani is one of the two urban encroachments in Nairobi with a worrying socio-economic situation.
Helping with the Valencia storm
On October 29, Valencia was hit by historically heavy rainfall. As of October 30, the flooding caused by the heavy rainfall has resulted in at least 95 deaths, and about 150,000 customers in eastern and southern Spain were without power. Parts of the Autonomous Community of Valencia were severely affected, with one day's rainfall almost equal to the total amount of rainfall that normally falls in a year. This has led to severe flooding and many families and communities are facing enormous challenges. Streets are submerged, vehicles are stranded, people's lives have been severely affected and many schools and stores have been forced to close. In support of our fellow citizens affected by the disaster, Main Paper practiced its corporate social responsibility and acted quickly to donate 800 kilograms of supplies to help rebuild hope for the affected families.
